Neotel appoints Altech Autopage Cellular

Neotel, South Africa’s new telecommunications network operator has appointed Altech Autopage Cellular, as an authorised distributor and channel partner.

“We are pleased to announce that we have appointed Altech Autopage Cellular as our preferred consumer distribution partner from October 1st,” says Mukul Sharma, Executive Head of the Consumer Business Unit at Neotel. “Altech Autopage Cellular has been extremely successful in the GSM space and they have managed to build a very strong presence and brand. Together, we intend to build a highly motivated sales force. In addition their well-positioned retail channel will enable us to reach and offer our Neotel solutions to our potential customers quicker whilst assisting us in increasing our customer base,” continues Sharma.

The appointment of Altech Autopage Cellular as their premier telecommunications channel partner comes shortly after Neotel appointed Postnet South Africa in May 2008.

Craig Venter, Chief Executive Officer, Altech Limited says that being appointed a Neotel channel partner will give them a broader spectrum of products to market. “NeoConnect Prime and NeoConnect Lite are substantially different to the products we currently market. Being appointed a channel partner will allow us to offer our existing and potential customers more choice” he says.
